University Medical Centers Netherlands (UMC)
The University Medical Centers (UMCs) in the Netherlands evaluate their collaborations on a regular basis. The analyses are based on publication co-authorships and are carried out to show the funding bodies to what extent the UMCs work together and with international partners.
In order to get more flexible and continuous possibilities to analyse the collaborations in different research areas and over different time periods, the Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres (NFU) has commissioned AVEDAS to provide a CONVERIS based solution. With CONVERIS, the UMCs will be able to make their network and collaboration analyses more dynamically and at any given time, compared to a traditional report. At the same time, they will be able to answer the following questions directly through the system:
All analyses can be based on any thematic area and for any given time period of years. The networks will be illustrated as network graphs which can be generated directly in CONVERIS.

- How many publications does each UMC have?
- How many joint publications are there between each pair of UMCs?
- How does the network look like for any combination of (2-all) UMCs together?
- How does the network look like for any (combination) of the UMCs and their international collaboration partners?
