Publication search

This module serves to reduce the manual work for researchers and administrators when adding publication data to the system. Instead of adding all data manually, this module helps the user to retrieve already existing publication data in available repositories. Included in the module is a connection with PubMed and Thomson Reuters, but additional connections to other repositories such as Scopus can be added.

The users can search for their publications by using (a combination of) author name, keywords in the title or journal and organisation names. The result is presented as a list of matching publications. Here, the users merely have to mark those publications they want to retrieve and relate to their profile. 

Furthermore, the users can create a search profile for certain parameters, including their name, keywords or journals. Once per night, CONVERS checks if there are new records in the repositories that match the search profile. If a matching entry is found, the users will get an email notification. The next time they log in, they can validate the new publication data and add it to their research profile.
