University of Hull is implementing CONVERIS
Since Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Great Britain are facing comprehensive requirements for the management, storage and analysis of research information, their need for a complete, quality assured and up to date overview of ongoing research activities and their impact and results is steadily increasing.
Therefore, the University of Hull is currently implementing CONVERIS as a complete solution to collect, quality assure and analyse the university’s research information. With CONVERIS, the university will be able to plan, evaluate and communicate its scientific activities in one single system. On top of that, CONVERIS provides the optimal support for the Research Excellence Framework (REF), a new system replacing the previous RAE for assessing the quality of research in British HEIs. The REF focuses on three elements, which together reflect the key characteristics of research excellence: output quality, impact in several dimensions and quality of the research environment.
CONVERIS will be integrated with a row of in house systems and replace some others. Furthermore, AVEDAS will pre-fill and automatically update the system with project and publication information from various external sources. This means that CONVERIS will become one single source that provides the University of Hull with comprehensive and quality assured information on all its research activities and results.
