AVEDAS exhibits on Bio International Convention
Together with the European Commission, AVEDAS presents the LifeCompetence-platform that grants access to all projects funded within the European Commission's sixth Framework Programme, Life Science and Health priority.
LifeCompetence provides not only information about the EC-funded projects, but presents even the researchers participating in these projects as well as their organisations. This enables the user to access the European research landscape from multifaceted perspectives: from identifying individual key players within a certain research area to a better understanding of the networks a certain research organisation is collaborating in.
Furthermore, a reporting module has been included that allows different kinds of analyses and reports, e.g. organisation reports that illustrate an organisation's research activities, key researchers or most important collaboration partners, thematic reports where the most active players within a selected research area will be highlighted or network reports that focus on the research activities within a network or region. LifeCompetence is a tool helping the European Commission to market the Life Science research carried out in Europe and to get a better understanding on how the European research organisations perform in the LifeScience sector.
Together with Inserm-Transfert SA and European Federation of Biotechnology, AVEDAS has been commissioned by the European Commission to broaden the content to make the competence profiles more complete and enable answers to tech transfer issues by integrating information on the projects’ results from public databases on publications, patents and technology offers.
