Stockholm-Uppsala LifeScience

The Stockholm-Uppsala region is Scandinavia’s leading life-science cluster and a key player in Europe with world-leading researchers, universities and companies.

Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science (SULS) is working to promote the development of the life science sector in the region, and position the region on the international arena to attract new resources and investment. To support this work, SULS has in February launched a new research information system based on AVEDAS research information system CONVERIS which includes all relevant information on researchers, companies and research activities within the Life Sciences.

The Stockholm-Uppsala research information system provides multifaceted opportunities to learn more about the region’s companies and ongoing research activities. An Info Bank offers a thematic access to ongoing projects (amongst them all EU funded projects within the FP6 Life Science and Health priority with at least one partner from the Stockholm-Uppsala region) as well as related scientists, companies, core facilities and other resources. A search for expert profiles allows identifying key researchers within certain research fields based on their publications and research projects.

The system also includes news from the region’s life science and the possibility to sign up for Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science’s newsletter. Furthermore, it provides information about upcoming events like conferences, symposiums or congresses, and enables visitors to directly register themselves for these events.

For more information, please visit the SULS research information system.

Dr. Bengt Finnström, Director of Research Services, KTH:
"We have a great deal of trust in the AVEDAS team. AVEDAS, looking at our requirements and the best way to meet them, provided a complete solution. We have achieved the promised cost savings, along with improved performance, and we are already gaining the benefits of better data integration.”
